What is reiki?
Reiki is japanese and talks about our life energy/force. Rei = universal, sacred Ki = life force, life energy. In China they called it chi and in India they call it prana.
Everything living being consists of ki, in other words humans, animals and plants. When we experience something traumatic or sickness we lose part of our life force. We start leaking energy and one could say that our energy body becomes perforated. This makes us feel bad both within our body and soul.
Reiki helps activating your natural healing processes and recover physical and emotional well-being. Reiki is not attached to a specific religion, in fact it works even if you have trouble wrapping your mind around it. I’ve seen it happen several times even with sceptic people.
Reiki is a healing method channeled by Mikao Usui between 1910-1920 in Japan. In the beginning Reiki was a system and a method for connecting with yourself spiritually and for healing yourself - healing others came second place. Since Usuis channeling the tradition of Reiki has spread and turned into several different Reiki systems, around 20- 30 systems known today across the globe. You may have heard of Western Reiki, japanese Reiki, Karuna Reiki, Angel Reiki, Shamanic Reiki and several others.
Reiki is approved as rehabilitating prevented care by the Swedish Tax Agency på samma sätt som massage och akupunktur. Du kan alltså lämna in kvittot hos din arbetsgivare, eller boka mig via Epassi om din arbetsplats är ansluten till det.
How does it work? Reikienergin fungerar ungefär som akupunktur fast utan nålarna – den går in och löser upp blockeringar och stagnerad energi. Många beskriver känslan att få reiki som varm och pirrande, men den kan också kännas som en kall luft. Reikin kommer alltså genom mig som utövare och vidare ut där den behövs. Det är alltså inte jag som för över någonting från mig, eller “healar” dig utan jag kopplar upp mig och öppnar kanalen så att ljusenergin kan komma till dig. Vi är alla kanaler egentligen, alla kan lära sig reiki och att ge reiki efter att man initierats av en reikimaster. Intentionen är alltid att ge reiki för det högsta goda och för ditt bästa så att du kan läka.
Side effects? Reiki is quite a "gentle" method and many people experience a sense of calm and well-being after a session. Reiki could however begin purging too. Some people experience a "healing crisis" with the symptoms getting worse before they ease out. I've had clients who have felt stomach pain, an increase of visits to the loo, feeling more tired, feeling more sensitive etc while clearing out heavy energies. Don't worry,it'll pass in a few days. Drink a lot of water to help the body cleanse and don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
How did I get in touch with reiki? In 2018 one of my friends did the Reiki 1 initiation and practised giving me Reiki. It was lovely and made a huge difference in my well-being. That inspired me to take the course myself and eventually I did all three courses. My experience working as a teacher previously helped me when it came to put together my own Reiki courses. Nowadays I teach all levels and it is very gratyfying being able to spread this fantastic healing method to others.
I use Reiki daily and as much as possible in all situations. I give myself Reiki at least once a week trying to kep my channel clean and my mind strong and fit.
Why do I work with Reiki? Åh! Det är ungefär första utbristandet när jag tänker på hur magiskt det är med Reiki. Alla kan göra Reiki och det tycker jag är så fint att veta om. Vi har alla tillgång till att koppla upp oss och kunna kanalisera denna ljusa energi. Vi blir kanaler och kan läka oss själva såväl som andra människor. Givetvis är det inget som “botar” saker och ting helt och hållet, det är ett komplement till vanlig sjukvård precis som massage eller akupunktur. För mig var Reiki första steget i min spirituella utveckling. Tack vare tillgången till reikin har jag kunnat läka gamla sår både kroppsliga och mentala, samt utveckla mina mediala förmågor. Det är inte säkert det blir så för alla, det blir som det ska.
